“Mega Man Zero 2.”
Based on the first level of the 2003 GameBoy Advance game, this piece is an homage to a favorite from my childhood. The boss of the first level advances on the hero, who is wielding his signature energy sword.
Digital. Thin linework pairs with dusky colors after the source material; while lighted surfaces are fairly bright and desaturated, the shaded areas are rich in color. This effect is modeled after watercolors.
